How a Diaper is Made: A Step-by-Step Look Inside Our Factory

Step 1: Building the “Skeleton” – Composite Core Formation.


This is like laying the foundation. Super Absorbent Polymer (SAP) and fluff pulp are evenly distributed like snowfall onto a non-woven base layer, then covered and heat-pressed into a solid, flat “core sheet.” This is where the Full-Core Structure shines: no clumping, no separation, just stable absorbency. The weight and uniformity of this core directly determine the diaper's “endurance.”

 Step 2: The “Undergarment” – Adding the Top Sheet & 3D Embossing.

The core is covered with a hot-air through non-woven top sheet—the layer that touches the baby's skin. It undergoes hot-air perforation by an embossed roller, creating a pattern of tiny dimples. This isn't just for show; it increases airflow for breathability and reduces skin contact area, allowing moisture to channel down faster so the surface stays drier.

Step 3: The “Outerwear” – Composite Back Sheet & Fasteners.


Beneath the core lies the back sheet. We use hot melt adhesive to precisely laminate a soft hot-air non-woven layer with a specialized breathable PE film. This film has micron-sized pores that block liquid but allow vapor to escape, achieving “breathable yet waterproof” performance. Simultaneously, non-woven front waist tapes and S-cut hook tapes are precision-cut and readied.

 Step 4: Assembly & Shaping – The Magic of Ultrasonic Welding.


This is the busiest station. Conveyors bring together the core, top sheet, back sheet, and fasteners. No stitches are used—only ultrasonic welding. High-frequency vibration generates heat, fusing materials instantly with a distinctive “hiss.”

Elastic strands for the 3D leak-guard cuffs are precisely welded to the sides.

Waistband elastics are stretched to a set tension and secured.

Hook tapes are firmly welded to the waistband.

Finally, high-speed blades cut individual diapers, simultaneously creating the umbilical cord notch for newborns.

Step 5: Quality Control & Packaging – Letting the Data Speak.


Finished diapers are sampled every 30 minutes. We don’t rely on touch, but on instruments: testing absorption speed via “third rewet” measurement, strength with a tensile tester, and durability with a flex tester that simulates baby movement. Only when all data meets strict standards is a batch approved for packaging.

In the end, manufacturing is a battle over details. The true comfort of a diaper lies hidden in these precise, unseen parameters.
