We insist on using hot-air nonwoven fabric that has been fully "matured." Freshly produced nonwoven material can carry a slight stiffness and needs to rest in a controlled temperature and humidity environment. Much like dough that needs time to rise, this allows the fibers to relax naturally, reaching their softest state. As for the embossing that creates the "second-layer touch," we use a low-temperature, slow-press process—similar to ironing silk—handling the fibers with care to preserve their integrity and form a gentle, three-dimensional texture that cradles the skin.

"Many focus on how fast it absorbs, but overlook how soft it feels," says a member of our material quality control team. Part of her job is to test every batch of top sheet material with the back of her hand. "Only when my skin tells me 'this is comfortable' do I feel assured. Machines can measure many things, but that initial gentleness requires a human touch."
